SPECIAL NEWS - NEW ONE in 70 MHz from Italy to Bahrain


We are happy to inform the ham community that the 1st ever qso in 70 MHz from Italy to Bahrain has taken place on May 19th 2012 at around 15.03 UTC between Daniele, IK1EGC and Dave, A92IO.

Qso was in SSB during an interesting ESmh opening. After this QSO also some other Italians hams had lucky making QSO with Dave.

A5 – Bhutan - 16.05.12

The FGC DX Group (Foundation for Global Children) is pleased to announce our next multi-national DXpedition to Bhutan, callsign A5A.
We will begin operations by May 24, 2012 and will run until June 6th. We will activate 80-6m including the WARC bands using modes: SSB, CW, and RTTY. We will erect high gain antennas, utilize receive antennas, and run amplifiers at 3 stations.
The team is expected to consist of: JH1AJT, JJ1LIB, JA4EKO, JH1OGX and KL2A.

E4 - Palestine - 18.05.12


Vlad UA4WHX, now in Palestine as E40VB said, in HF, that he have 6m capability but qso made in may 18 at around 14z in may 18th afternoon was with a pirate.

At 16z he started some cq on six and had goo luck; so stay tune!

HI - Dominican Rep. - 20.05.12

Yukon John"/KL7JR and XYL Claire/WL7MY will be back to their Dominican Republic ocean front condo on the north shore of Hispaniola Island around mid-September through 2013. The HI3/KL7JR license has been renewed for a year, so expect to hear them on HF SSB concentrating on 12, 17, 40 and 80 meters and 6 meters! They also plan to continue their antenna experimenting with MFJ mobile verticals and Wilson FGT-2 CB verticals as mini yagis from their 3rd floor patio. Rigs include Kenwood TS-570D and Ten Tec 599. Antennas: Vertical Loop (10-20m), TAK-tenna 80 (40 and 80m) and misc. 6 meter wires. QSL per info on QRZ.com. Dave, N2NL is returning to Guam on 17 June, and will remain there for three years. He plans to be active on 160-6 metres as either KH2/N2NL and NH2T. QSL via W2YC and LoTW.

UT - Ukraine - 18.05.12

18/05/2012:  Look for EM0IFF to be active 18-20 May 2012 from the Zalesye National Nature Park (WFF URFF-067) for the World Flora & Fauna award program. They will be QRV on 160m-70cm CW, SSB, FM and PSK. QSL via UX2IF. Logs will be uploaded to WFF LogSearch.


SV9 – Crete Is. - 21.05.12

Alex SQ9UM plans to be active from Crete, as SV9/SQ9UM between May 22-28, 2012.
QRV on 40-6m CW, RTTY, PSK and some SSB.
Participation also in WPX-CW Contest.


VP2M - Montserrat - 18.05.12

I will be back in Montserrat from 6th June until 6th August & will be active as VP2MDD concentrating on 6, 10 & 12M propagation. Gordon, G3USR / VP2MSR, will be joining me at the end of June for a couple of weeks. The 6M station will have 100W to a 5 el yagi plus a half-wave vertical.
