Con piacere segnaliamo la pubblicazione del ducumento Ufficiale della U.B.A. (su sito ufficiale dell'U.B.A.)relativo ai risultati finali del contest IARU dello scorso luglio corretto in data 30 ottobre u.s.

Come avevamo sospettato il file disponibile in Italia, su un sito non istituzionale, risulta modificato ad uso locale.

Complimenti ai vincitori internazionali ed a tutti i colleghi italiani che, benchè non vincitori nella classifica generale europea, non hanno sfigurato.

 Per correttezza di informazione si lasciano le precedenti notizie.

 

Dal 16 ottobre scorso, sul sito della Radio Society of Great Britany o della Bulgarian Federation of Radio  Amateurs (a titolo di esempio ... ma anche su altri siti) è stata pubblicata la classifica completa del Contest internazionale 50 Mhz di Luglio; NON SAPPIAMO se si tratti della classifica ufficiale tuttavia è bene notare che alcuni dei competitors italiani troveranno delle enormi discrepanze tra la lista "nazionale" e quella "internazionale". Segnaliamo che le differenze (e gli eventuali errori) non sono imputabili a Sixitalia (al Gruppo, benchè sponsor, NON è stato consentito l'accesso e la verifica dei log, ne di occuparsi della trasmissione delle classifiche all'organizzazione internazionale).

 

Pur se con un certo ritardo, dopo la pubblicazione dei dati - tramite i link di cui sotto - sul nostro sito, sembra che ci sia resi conto delle discrepanze tra la lista nazionale e quella internazionale. Siamo in attesa di vedere pubblicati i risultati, finalmente ufficiali e corretti della gara, su un sito istituzionale di una qualsiasi associazione.

Segnaliamo che la classifica reperibile attualmente in Italia (speriamo autentica ma con evidente "manipolazione" dei dati, viste le caselle evidenziate e le note a piè di pagina - in italiano - che non dovrebbero comparire su fogli provenienti dall'UBA) sono disponibili su di un sito non istituzionale che, tra l'altro, non può definirsi particolarmente "politically correct" (da mesi sono presenti documenti e testi amministrativi "ritoccati artificiosamente" per i quali l'A.R.I. - correttamente - ha rigettatto la paternità da lungo tempo scusandosi per il disguido). Vi terremo aggiornati sugli eventi sperando di veder pubblicati, prima o poi, i dati su di un sito istituzionale, senza commenti o, viceversa, se del caso, spiegando come mai - alla prima diffusione dei risultati - i responsabili non si siano premurati di avvisare tutti o quantomeno tutti coloro che erano interessati alla vicenda (anche noi quindi, dovendo premiare i vincitori) di ciò che stava accadendo. Riteniamo che le informazioni (ovviamente non ingiurie e menzogne o, all'opposto, reticenze di comodo) debbano circolare, sempre e comunque; la trasperenza disturba qualcuno?

LA PREMIAZIONESI TERRA' DOMENICA 15 MAGGIO NE CORSO DEL XXVI SYMPOSIUM INTERNAZIONALE DI TERNI E ORVIETO

 Anche per il 2010 il gruppo Sixitalia ha deciso, in accordo col manager nazionale I4CIL, di sponsorizzare le premiazioni del Contest IARU 50 MHz per le prime tre stazioni italiane classificate per categoria.

 I nostri complimenti alle stazioni prime classificate per categoria; anche quest'anno nella categoria Multioperatore il team capitanato da Marco IZ5EME si è piazzato al primo posto italiano, seguito a breve distanza dal team IQ8HP della sezione ARI di Potenza, gradita new-entry il team di Giuseppe IT9BLB, un gradito ritorno di Joe accompagnato da Giuseppe IT9VDQ nel mondo VHF e Superiori.

Nella categoria Singolo Operatore Costy IC8TEM l'ha fatta da padrone, riuscendo a superare un esperto seimetrista come Angelo I2ADN/IF9 che da Favignana conquista la seconda piazza italiana, al terzo posto un nominativo che è oggi una costante nei contest Gianni IW0HLE che si aggiudica la terza piazza.

3D2LR - EME DX-Pedition

 

If you had been thinking about putting up that larger antenna,
getting an amplifier for 6m, or finally getting on WSJT modes this
summer, you still have time!  PSE mark your calendars now to watch
for 3D2LR the last week of September and the first week of October.
That period includes the best days of the month for 6m EME, and the
first weekend of the ARRL EME Contest.  I will be looking for EU
stations on their moonrises and moonsets and will be elevating to
look for NA stations during their moonsets during the best days.

I plan to call CQ in the first sequence JT65A mode. I will also be

EX1SIX - New Beacon

 

Oleg, EX8MLT, in Kyrgyzstan, has activated the first constantly operating radio beacon for 6 meters in his country.
The callsign for the radio beacon is EX1SIX.

Beacon Parameters are:
Frequency - 50026 kHz, Mode - CW, Power - 60 W, Antenna - vertical GP; will be replaced in the near future on a Halo.

Grid locator - MN82sd, QTH - village Tamga, southern coast of lake Issyk Kul.

4X/VE2XB - Israel

 

Mike, VE2XB, will be active as 4X/VE2XB for one month or so starting around July 26th. Activity will be on all bands using CW and SSB.

V31UB - Belize

 

KU5B is going to hit the airwaves as V31UB in SSB, CW and digital modes

N6L - Special Calll

 

Look for special event station, N6L, to be active from Lassen Volcanic National Park (WFF KFF-049, WVA-09, W6/SOTAs) between August 7-14th. This will be a Multi-Op and Portable/Mobile Op. OH0 - Aland Isl.

VC9A - NA-014

will be active as VC9A from Whitehead Island (CISA NB-010)
during the RSGB IOTA Contest (July 24-25th) as a Multi-Op/
High-Power/DXpedition entry. Activity will be on 80-6 meters
using CW, SSB and possibly RTTY. Look for activity before and

SX8R - EU-174

 

Laci, HA0NAR, will be active again as SX8R from Thassos Island,
Greece, during the RSGB IOTA Contest (July 24-25th). Before
the contest he will be active on all HF bands using CW and
SSB, plus 6 meters. QSL via his home callsign, by the HA

LA/DL3BRE - EU-141

 

Operators Reiner/DL3BRE and Harald/DL7VSN will be active as
LA/DL3BRE - from Vardo Island between July 23-27th. Activity
will be on 80-6 meters using a beam and GP. They will also be
in the RSGB IOTA Contest (July 24-25th) as a Multi-Op/CW/24HR

IOTA EU-091

 

Operators Fred/IK7JWX, Paolo/IK7UXW, Tiziano/IW7EFC, Sergio/I7ZTM, Simon/IZ7ATN and Vincenzo/I7PXV will be active from Isolotto Traversa (IIA BR-009, LH WAIL PU-028, ARLHS ITA-175,WLOTA L-005 and Grid Loc. JN80xp) in the Pedagne IOTA Group during the RSGB IOTA Contest (July 24-25th) as a (Multi-Op/Low-Power/Mixed entry. Contest callsign was not provided.
Look for activity before and after the contest. Some operators will be active on the WARC, WHF, UHF, 6m.. SSB (PSK31, RTTY).

BD5RV/5 - Pingtan Island

 

Guys,
I am going to activate Pingtan Island (AS138, locator OL95vn) next weekend from July 25 to 29 as BD5RV/5. EME will be included in this operation on 6m, 2m, and 70cm.
On 2m band, i will be equipped with a 800W PA and 10ele * 2 yagi array. For 70cm band, I will be running with 23*2 yagi array and 75W QRP. For 6m is 100W but antenna is TBD.
I'll be available on N0UK logger during the operation. Hope to see you guys on the moon.

Spain - Special Prefixes

 

To celebrate Spain winning the World Cup Football Championship, the Directorate General of Telecommunications of Spain has authorized Spanish stations to use the following special prefixed until end of July (July 31st):      

AM - EB distinctive prefix
AN - EC distinctive prefix
AO - EA distinctive prefix

K8YSE - Grid DX-pedition

 

John, K8YSE, will be activating multiple grids around Lake Superior on the FM and Linear satellites beginning around August 2nd.

He plans to operate from the following grids:

EN28-29-36-37-38-39-46-47-48-49-56-57-58-59-63-64-65-66-67-68-69-73-74-75-76-77-
78-79-83-84-86-87 and EO30 in both the US and Canada.

An APRS beacon (K8YSE-8) will be on during the trip and also the via ISS digi when there are no local digi's in range.

There will be some operations on 6 meters including an all day effort from Brockway Mountain, Copper Harbor, MI, in EN67.

9X0TL - Rwanda

 

9X, RWANDA. Tom, DL2RUM, will be back in Kigali this week for business.
He hopes to receive his license on Wednesday, July 21st. Tom's callsign 9X0TL was assigned to him.

This is not a dedicated DXpedition, so activity will be limited to his spare time. He states that there will be inter- ruptions in his activity

(6-8 days each), but he will be there until the end August or the beginning of September. Operations will be on 80-6 meters using CW, SSB and RTTY. Equipment: K3 w/600 watt solid state PA, Butternut HF-9V, HB9CV (6m) and wire antennas. QSL via DL2RUM.

LX1FX/MM - Med trip

 

** 6m and 4m activity from Andre, LX1FX/MM **

Andre will be qrv again /MM for about 2 months. He will start in
Marseille, then heading to Menorca, Mallorca and then to Cadiz and
back to Marseille. The squares may be activated depending on

EJ3Z - EU-121

 

Members of the Galway radio Experimenters Club (EI4GRC) and
Shannon Basin Radio Club (EI2SBC) will be on air from Inishbofin
Island for IOTA 2010 contest using the call EJ3Z. Inishbofin is
a small island 9KM off the west cost (53.37 North - 10.14 West)
with the IOTA Ref EU-121. On the days leading up members will be
active using their own call signs on HF & VHF also watch out for
EJ4GRC. Inishbofin Grid Sq is IO43vo.

TI - Costarica

 

Operators from Ohio, Kansas and Colorado will be heading here between July 15-19th, as a team of youth operators and guardians to be on the air. This DX Adventure was created to give young hams an opportunity to experience HF-DXing from the other side of a pileup, learning logging, good operating skills, propagation, and a great "what I did this summer" story when they return to middle and high school this fall. Please listen for, work, cluster spot, and support this effort to mentor our youth in amateur radio operating/DX'ing. The team will be on all bands, 160-6 meters and most modes (CW, SSB, RTTY and PSK). All operators will be signing TI5/homecall. They will be attempting to operate 2 stations at all times. Please QSL via their home callsign w/SASE or SAE if overseas. eQSL and LoTW will be at the discretion of the individual operators as not all use these services. This and future youth team groups depend on your club, organization, and individual donations to make this great program an annual event. Bonaire new DXCC ??

 

The W7XU team of Ed/W0SD, Doc/W7XU, and XYLs Edith/W0OE and Holly/N0QJM and Johan/ON4IQ are headed for Bonaire (SA-006 and WLOTA L1279) for the "2011" 6 meter sporadic E season DXpedition. It is expected that this will be a new DXCC entity by then. The operation is scheduled from mid-June to July 5th, 2011. Most of the plans have already been completed."

DL3OCH - Pacific trip

 

Bodo, DL3OCH, will be in the Pacific from the following location and will be using his stateside callsign.
Bodo informs OPDX that his activity will be on 80-6 meters (depending on conditions), mostly on CW and possibly some RTTY and PSK31, using an IC-7000 with an amp and beam antennas. His tentative schedule is as follows:    

August  1-7th - Guam; callsign KH2/KT3Q
August 7-14th - Marianas Island; callsign KH0/KT3Q

 

QSLs for this activity are only via DL3OCH or HB9EHJ.

Do not send QSLs to his U.S. address. It might take a year until he receives them. Online logs

TM5KD - EU-068

 

Operators Nikola/YT2WW, Michel/F1SRC, Jean-Francois/F6DZD,
Remi/F0GHK, Alain/SWL and Bastien/F4EYQ will be active as
TM5KD from Sein Island between July 22-27th. Activity will
include the RSGB IOTA Contest (July 24-25th). Look for them
to have operations on CW, PSK31 and VHF activities outside of

LA4FPA - EU-056

 

Erling, LA4FPA, will be active from Vigra Island between July 18th and August 2nd.

Activity will be on HF (20/10 meters) and 6 meters.

He will also be active on the birds (FO-29, AO-51,HO-68, and possibly VO-52). Grid Locators are JP22 and JP32.

He will try to be on as many passes as possible. QSL via his callsign.

CS29MR - Special Call

 

Look for special event station, CS29MR, to be on the air between July 12-18th, to celebrate the 29th International Motorcycle Concentration Faro. Activity will be on 80/40/30/20/17/15/12/10/6 meters using CW, SSB and RTTY.

Operators mentioned are: Jose/CT1EHX, Joao/CT1FNT, Toze/CT1GFK, Goncalo/CT1GPQ, Miguel/CT1IUA, Rui/CT2IHP, Carlos/CT2HTN and Pedro/CT2JMW. QSL via CT1EHX.

W8ND/4 - IOTA NA-213

 

Look for Butch N8CHS, Mike KB8ZYE and Ken W8ND to be active as
W8ND/4 on 23-25 July 2010 from Dauphin Island, (NA-213,USi AL002S
Mobile County), State of Alabama, including an entry in the RSGB
IOTA Contest. They will have antennas for 40, 20, 15, and 10 m.
during the IOTA contest. They will have 30 and 17 metres before
and after the contest. The team will also be on 6 metres.
QSL direct or via bureau to K8MCN. Include SASE for direct return
otherwise return goes via the bureau.

SM4IVE/P - Activity

 

SM4IVE holiday style qrv 6m & 2m next weeks...
The trip is a Holiday trip but some activity would be made.
I will post on ON4KST when i will be active and what Locator and
QRG. Rig TS2K 100W   maybe i can locate a PA, Ant 3elm on 6 mtr
and 9 elm on 2 mtr.

IS0/I2MOV - Sardinia

 

Flaviano, I2MOV, informs OPDX that he will depart for Sardinia on July 13th and be active as IS0/I2MOV from Dolianova, 20 km North from Cagliari (Locator JM49OJ), until the end of September.
Activity will be on 40/30/20/17/15/12/10/6 meters using mainly CW. His rig will be an IC706MKIIG into a 7 band vertical antenna and a home-made 50 MHz dipole.

Tom, DL4VM, will be active as OZ/DL4VM from Vendsyssel-Thy/Nordjylland (DIA NJ-001) between September 4-18th.

MU/PA4N - Guernsey

 

Frank, PA4N, will be active as MU/PA4N from the Island of Guernsey (WLOTA L-0013) between July 12-19th.

Activity will be on 80-10 meters using CW, with the possibility of some 160 or 6 meters and some RTTY and SSB.
