E5 - North Cook Islands - 06.02.12


A team consisting of Jan DJ8NK, Uwe DJ9HX, Werner DJ9KH, Hawa DK9KX, Hans DL6JGN, Ron PA3EWP and Leszek SP3DOI plan to be active from Manihiki Atoll (OC-014, Grid Loc. AH99), North Cook Islands, between 28th March until 10th April, 2012. Signing E51M they will be QRV on 160 to 6m, CW/SSB/RTTY. All equipment, except transceivers, is already on Manihiki. In total, E51M will have eleven vertical antennas and a small 4 El. beam for 6m. Five stations, K3's with 500W amplifiers will be in use. KH0 - Northern Mariana - 06.01.12

Buchi, JO3FRH and Masa, JE4SMQ will be signing KH0UY and KH0K, respectively, from the island of Saipan (OC-086, USi NI002S, WLOTA 1333, WW Loc. QK25UF), Northern Mariana Islands from 7-10 January 2012. QRV on 80-6m, plus the
satellites. QSL via home calls, direct or bureau.

KH6 - Hawai - 09.01.12

Before his April trip to Tonga (see OPDX.1036), Haru, JA1XGI, will be active as W8XGI/KH6 from Hawaii between January 31st and February 4th. Activity will probably be on 20-6 meters (especially 30/17/12m)
using mainly CW, with some SSB and the Digital modes. QSL via JA1XGI, direct or by the Bureau. QSOs will be uploaded to LoTW.

T32 - W. Kiribati - 06.02.12

From 17 January to 2 February 2012, a team of six operators will be active from Kiritimati [Christmas Island] (OC-024, WW Loc. BJ12HA) in Eastern Kiribati. Each team member will operate with their own callsigns, with activity on 160m to 6m CW and SSB. T32WW and T32CO will also operate both RTTY and PSK.
The group will put in a full Multi-Op effort for the CQWW 160m CW Contest (27-29 January) as T32XX (QSL via KB8TXZ). The operators are as follows: Dave, VO1AU (T32AU - QSL via VO1MX); Brian, KG8CO (T32CO - QSL via KB8TXZ); Lee, N8LJ (T32LJ - QSL via K8ESQ); Ted, K8AQM (T32TR - QSL via KB8TXZ); Jim, KB8TXZ (T32TX - QSL via KB8TXZ); and Stan, AC8W (T32WW - QSL via KB8TXZ). PJ4 - Bonaire - 06.01.12

All the team wish you an happy New Year 2012.
We are now a few days from departure and all the team is very enthusiastic.
In mid-December around 600Kg of equipment has left Europe to Bonaire, Peter PJ4NX will take care of it until our arrival.
Jeff F6AOJ has repaired equipment damaged in TJ9PF last year, Mat F5PED has prepared the 30m 4sq, and Yann F1NGP has configured all the computer network.
Thanks to all the F6KOP team everything has been prepared and packed on time.
Eric ON7RN and Peter PJ4NX have organized everything with the shipper.
We will use the following equipment:

F8BJI made the operating schedules. The 7th station will be used on 6m
(sometimes as a beacon on 50.104MHz, please let us know is there are any
openings)

XV - Vietnam - 06.01.12

Take, JA6CNH, will be active from Ho Chi Minh City (Grid Loc. OK30), Viet Nam, as XV2CNH between 10-15th January, 2012. QRV on 160-6m CW, SSB and Digi-modes using both a IC-756PROII and III, with amp. Dipole for 160, 80 and 40m. Yagi for 30-6m. QSL via JA6CNH.
