A5 - Bhutan - 09.04.11

 

Operators Andy/UA3AB (A52AB), Ralph/K0IR (A52IR), Paul/W8AEF (A52PP), Pat/W0BM (A52PC) and Glenn/W0GJ (A51B), along with their wives, will be in Bhutan between October 25th and November 1st. In the CQWW DX SSB Contest (October 29-30th), look for A52IR on 75m, A52PC on 40m, A52PP on 20m, A52AB on 15m and A51B on 10m. They will be on other bands/modes outside of the contest. QSL via their home callsigns.

EA7/DH6DAO will be on from 2011-08-16 to 2011-09-02 in IM86AR, activities on 6m ES and HF

GM - Scotland - 09.04.11

 

Once again a Belgian expedition team will be sailing to Rockall Island at the end of September. Operators mentioned as of press time are: Patrick/ON4HIL, Theo/ON4ATW, Henk/ON4AHF, Karel/ON5TN and Rudi/ON7YT. Three of these operators have been at, not on, Rockall Island in May 2009. The team will set sail aboard the "Commandant Fourcault" on September 23rd, for a 4 day voyage to Rockall. If all goes as planned, they will be on the air as MM0RAI around September 27th or 28th.

GM - Scotland - 09.04.11

 

A team of four highly experienced IOTA activators are planning to operate from the extremely rare and dangerous Isle of Rockall possibly between the end of May or the beginning of June 2012. A new Web page is now online with operator bios, QSL info, picture gallery and history about Rockall, at: http://www.eu189.com

The team is looking for funds to help offset some of this expense. Significant contributors will be added to their QSL card. To donate, you can use paypal at the above Web page.

FP - St. Pierre & Miquelon - 09.02.11

Eric, KV1J and Jack, KV1E will be active as FP/KV1J and FP/KV1E from Miquelon Island (NA-032) from 25 October to 1 November. Plans are to operate SSB and RTTY, with some CW and  PSK31, on 160-10 metres, plus 6m "if indications of openings". FP/KV1J will take part in the CQ WW DX SSB Contest (SOAB HP). K - U.S.A. - 08.30.11

Members of the Symbol Technologies ARC will be honoring the lives lost during the horrific events of September 11th, 2001, with activating special event station N1Y between 1400z (10:00 am local time) Saturday, September 10th, and 0400z (11:00 am local time) Sunday, September 11th. Suggested frequencies are: 3911, 7240, 14070 and 50135 kHz, as well as D-Star REF10C. QSL direct to: STARC, One Motorola Plaza, B-13, Holtsville, NY 11742 (with a #10 SASE). PLEASE NOTE: There will be a reading of one name of the fallen with every QSO.

JW - Svalbadn - 08.29.11

Morten, LA9DFA, will be active again as JW9DFA from Spitsbergen (EU-026) between September 14-19th. This is his third trip to the Arctic islands (1993, 2006). Activity will be on the HF bands and possibly 6 meters using mainly CW with some SSB and RTTY. He also plans to be active during the Scandinavian Activity CW Contest (September 17-18th) as JW3C. QSL both callsigns via LA9DFA, direct, by the Bureau or LoTW.

OJ0 - Market Reef - 09.01.11

Operators Will PA3ALK, Jack PA3BAG, Steef PA2A and Wim PA2AM will be active from Market Reef (IOTA EU-053), ARLHS MAR-001, TWLHD WLH OJ0 001, WFF OHFF-038, WLOTA 0542, WW Loc. JP90NH) between 27 August and 3 September 2011, using the callsign OJ0CC. QRV on all HF bands in SSB, CW, RTTY and PSK. Also QRV on 4m and 6m. QSL via PA2A, direct or bureau. Logs will be uploaded to LoTW and eQSL.

V6 - Micronesia - 09.02.11
