9M2 - West Malaysia - 08.05.11

Alex, SQ9UM will be active as 9M2/SQ9UM from 6 August to 4 September. He plans to operate CW, RTTY and some SSB on 40-6 metres. QSL via home call.

FP - St. Pierre & Miquelon - 08.08.11

Mike, VE2XB, will be active as FP/VE2XB from St. Pierre & Miquelon Islands (NA-032, DIFO FP-002, WLOTA 1417) between August 14-21st. Activity will have a special focus on 6 meters, but he will also be active on all bands from 80-6 meters. QSL via VE2XB (see QRZ.com).

Martin, G3ZAY, will be active as FP/G3ZAY from Miquelon (NA-032, DIFO FP-002, WLOTA 1417) between September 24-29th.

HI3, Dominican Republic -08.08.11

Operators "Yukon John"/KL7JR and XYL Claire/WL7MY will be back to their Dominican Republic ocean front condo on the north shore of Hispaniola Island (NA-96) around mid-September through 2013.
The HI3/KL7JR license has been renewed for a year, so expect to hear them on HF SSB concentrating on 12, 17, 40 and 80 meters and 6 meters! They also plan to continue their antenna experimenting with MFJ mobile verticals and Wilson FGT-2 CB verticals as mini yagis from their 3rd floor patio.
Rigs include Kenwood TS-570D and Ten Tec 599. Antennas: Vertical Loop (10-20m), TAK-tenna 80 (40 and 80m) and misc. 6 meter wires. QSL per info on QRZ.com. HL - south Corea - 08.08.11


Operators Ki-Sun/HL4MC, Gyeong/HL4CEL, Wang-hyun/HL4RBR, Kei/HL2UVH, Eun-Gwang/DS4EOI, Nao/JA1HGY and Zorro/JH1AJT will be active as D9A from Cheju Island (AS-026) between August 19-26th.
This special callsign will be used during the 20th Asian Conference on Intellectual Disabilities from the Ramada Plaza Jeju Hotel. Activity will be on 160-10 meters, 6 and 2 meters, using CW, SSB, RTTY and FM. QSL via DS4EOI.

LX - Luxembourg - 08.05.11

Look for Alex LX/PA1AW, Ronald LX/PA3EWP, Dennis LX/PA7FM and Jo LX/PA9JO to be active from Wiltz, Luxembourg from 30 August to 6 September. They will operate on all bands (160-2m) and  modes. T3 - Kiritimati - 08.04.11


T32C is planning to be QRV on 6m EME from Christmas Is, Eastern Kiribati. The 6m 'ionospheric propogation' station which is able to run a KW output to a single 7ele Yagi will be enhanced with an 8 element long boom beam (M2 6M8GJ) with manually controlled elevation. The elevation will be adjustable between the horizon and about 70 degrees.
EME operation will use the JT65A mode and T32C will always transmit for the FIRST SEQUENCE. The frequency will be 50.198MHz unless there are interference problems in which case a new frequency will be announced.

TY - Benin - 08.04.11

A group of operators are planning to activate Grand Popo (Grid Loc. JJ06), Mono Department of south-western Benin, from 5-14 August 2011, using the callsign TY1KS. Operators include Salvador EA3QS, Giorgio IZ4AKS, Fabri IW3SQY, Francesco IZ8GCE and Antonello IT9YVO. Plans are to be QRV on all HF bands and 6 metres, using 3 three Elecraft K3s, and two Elecraft KPA500 new solid state amplifier. Focus will be on the lower bands and the Digital modes, but also SSB and the higher band will be well worked especially during the TEP openings. QSL

V3 - Belize - 08.04.11

Colin, KU5B, will once again be active from Placencia (WW Loc. EK56TM), Belize, as V31UB from 5-10 August 2011, including an entry in the North American CW QSO Party (6-7 August). QRV on 80-6m, 160m possible; SSB CW and digital modes. QSL via LoTW or direct to KU5B.

YB9 Indonesia - 08.03.11

John, 9M6XRO, and Steve, 9M6DXX, will be operating ‘holiday style’ as YB9/GM3OOK and YB9/G4JVG from Bali (OC-022) from 12 to 15 September on a stopover while on their way to Timor-Leste for the 4W6A DXpedition.
Activity will be part time but on all bands 6 to 80m using CW and RTTY (YB9/GM3OOK) and SSB (YB9/G4JVG) using 100W to beam antennas.
QSL both YB9/GM3OOK and YB9/G4JVG via M0URX, direct, bureau, LoTW and OQRS.
