3D2A - Fiji Is. 3.18.11

Eddie VK4AN, Kenneth OZ1IKY, and others will be active as 3D2A from the Nadi Bay Resort, Nadi Bay, Viti Levu Island (IOTA OC-016, WLOTA 0055, Grid Loc. RH82), Fiji, between 15th March and 2nd April 2011. Activity will be on all bands (160-6m) and modes but with a concentrating on the lower bands. 9N - Nepal (Update) - 3.21.11

Operators Dov/4Z4DX/9N7DX and XYL Anat/9N7YL will be active between April 13-30th. Activity will be mainly 20/15/10/6 meters using mostly CW, RTTY and PSK31. QSL via 4Z4DX. Dov has activated a new Web page for this operation at: http://www.9n7dx.com

BY - China - 3.18.11

Latest news from Alan Kung, BA1DU, dated 2011-03-11: AMSAT-China is organizing some enthusiasts from its members to come to southwest China for experiments of EME and amateur satellite communications.
The expedition team will use special technology experiments amateur radio call sign BJ8TA. BJ8TA team will be Shangri-La County(NL97ut), Yunnan Province of China during March 20-23. it will be the first time amateur radio EME communications in grid NL, the communications scheme on the 6m, 2m and 70cm bands, using Yagi antennas with PA of one kilowatt. And then, the team will move to Yunnan Astronomical Observatory of the Chinese Academy of Sciences in Chengjiang county, it is located in grid OL14kq. The EME communications will use eleven
meters diameter radio telescope antenna with gain of 29dbi on 70cm band. operations will be from March 28 to April 1. BJ8TA team will be also active on the available satellites, including AO-51, VO-52, AO-7 AO-27, FO-29, SO-50, SO-67 etc, during the expedition period. web site http://www.bj8ta.com

KH0 - Mariana Islands - 3.18.11

KH0 - Mariana Islands (Update) 3.21.11

Ja operator Kirk, WE8A, will be active as WE8A/KH0 from Northern Mariana Island (OC-086) between March 30th and April 2nd, 2011. Kirt will focus on 80-6 meters, with a focus on the 30/17/12 meter bands, using CW and SSB. His friend Yuu, K8RLY, was expected to join him on this trip, but had to cancel.
QSL ONLY direct to: 5-1-35, Daikaidori, Kobe, 652-0803 JAPAN. Please do not send to the U.S. Bureau or JA Bureau.

LA - Norway - Iota EU-055 - 3.21.11

Helge, LA1QDA, will once again be active from his summer QTH on Sotra Island between July 11-31st. Activity will be on 80-6 meters using mainly SSB and CW. QSL via his home callsign, direct or by the Bureau.

OZ - Denmark - 3.18.11

Stefan, DL7AOS will be active as 5P5K from Romo Island  (EU-025) from 20 March to 1 April. He will be QRV on 80-6 metres, and will take part in the CQ WW WPX SSB Contest. QSL via DL7AOS, direct or bureau.

OZ - Denmark - Iota EU-172 - 3.21.1

Chris, DL4FO, will be active as OZ/homecall from Tuno Island (DIA JY-009) between July 17-29th. Activity will be on all HF bands, plus 6 meters, using mainly CW. QSL via his home callsign, the Bureau is preferred.

SV5 - Dodecanese - 3.21.11

Fred, PA1FJ, will be active as SV5/PA1FJ/p from Pigadia village on the Island of Karpathos (IOTA EU-001, GIOTA DKS-016, MIA MGD-013, WLOTA 1570) between May 8-14th. Activity will be on 40-6 meters, using his FT-817 into a Buddistick and 2x5m dipole. QSL via his home callsign, the Bureau is preferred.

V3 - Belize - 3.18.11

Jim WB2REM (V31MM), Glenn KD2JA  (V31GB)  and  Paul  W4PGM  (V31PM) will be active from Placentia, Belize on 23-30 March, including an entry in the CQ WPX SSB Contest as V31MM.  They will operate SSB and CW on 160-6 metres, with a focus on 30, 17, 12 and 6m. QSL direct to home calls.

VK9L - Lord Howe Island - 3.18.11

A group of operators from the Hellenic Amateur Radio of Association of Australia (HARAOA) will be active as VK9HR from Lord Howe Island (OC-004) on 8-17 July. They plan to operate  "on multiple bands simultaneously". Details will be available at www.vk9hr.com by late April.

ZS - South Africa - 3.18.11


ZS2FM, Mike, wrote: *A number of us in **Port Elizabeth**will be operating base stations, and looking for long distance contacts on 2 and 6 metres during the SARL VHF and UHF Contest" (note: contest will be on March 19-20, 2011 see complete rules in Sixitalia web pages). *ZS2OC and ZS2FM will beam north and monitor 144,200 MHz SSB until late on Saturday night for any possible Tropo openings, and from sunrise on Sunday morning focus on 50,200 MHz, SSB also north. 73 Mike, ZS2FM*
