3B9; Rodrigues Island (Reminder) - 11.10.12

Manfred, HB9ACA, Michel/HB9BOI, Herbert, HB9BOU, Eugen, HB9BQP, Nicolas, HB9CYF, Cedric, HB9HFN, Bertrand, HB9SLO, Fritz, HB9TNA,Alain, HB9TYJ and Jacky, 3B8CF are dxpeditioning to Rodrigues Island. With three stations on the air (1 x SSB, 1 x CW, 1 x RTTY and PSK) they plan to give everyonea chance to work them between October 16 - 23. The callsign will be 3B9SP. C6 - Bahamas - 15.10.12

Operators Bob/N4BP (C6AKQ), Tim/N4UM (C6ARU) and Mike/K4RUM (C6AUM) will be active from Freeport, Lucaya, Bahamas, between November 20th and December 11th. Activity will include the CQWW DX CW Contest (November 24-25th), the ARRL 160m Contest (November 30th-December 2nd) and the ARRL 10m Contest (December 8-9th). Outside of the contests, Tim/C6ARU (N4UM) will be doing all the digital, mainly PSK31 and Olivia, but will probably also do some RTTY and other digital modes. Mike/C6AUM (K4RUM) and Bob/C6AKQ (N4BP) will probably do all CW.
Bob informs OPDX that "We don't have any band plan, but will cover them all from 160-6  meters including the WARC bands." QSL via the operator's home callsign.

 

JA - Japan - 12.10.12

Special event station 8J3IPA is currently active until 31 December 2012 to commemorate the 50th anniversary of IPA Japan Section. QRV on all HF bands, plus 6 metres, using CW, SSB and RTTY. 8J3IPA will also be active as a Multi-Multi entry in the IPA Contest. QSL via the information on QRZ.com or via the JARL bureau.


S7 - Seychelles - 13.10.12

Luca I5IHE will be active as S79LC from Praslin Island (AF-024), Seychelles from 20 October to 5 November. From 21 October to the 31st he will be joined by Simone, IK5RUN (S79UN) and Danio, I5OYY
(S79YY). Look for activity on 40-10 metres SSB, CW and RTTY. They might also give 160 and 80 metres a try. QSL via home calls (direct) and LoTW "within 6 months".
They will be also on 6m using a ic7000 and a 3 el. cubical quod.

T30 - Western Kiribati (Reminder) - 11.10.12

Leo, PP1CZ, Orlando, PT2OP, Fabio, PY2AAZ, Rick, PY2PT, Alex, PY2WAS, Fred, PY2XB, Miguel, PY3MM, Fernando, PY4BZ, Jim, PY7XC and Xavier, PY7ZY, plan to be QRV on HF as T30PY and on 6m (EME in WSJT-JT65A) as T30SIX between October 16 and 25. They will have three stations on the air. Preferred frequencies: CW: 833.5, 3524, 7024, 10124, 14024, 18084, 21024, 24894 and 28024 kHz SSB: 3798, 7085, 14190, 18145, 21295, 24945 and 28495 kHz RTTY: 3580, 7038, 14080, 18102, 21080, 24920 and 28080 kHz 6m: 50102/CW and beacon, 50110-50120/SSB, 50.198/EME.

VP5 - Turks and Caicos Is. - 15.10.12

Operators Bill/KX4WW, Noll/W9RN and Doug/W4OX and Jim/K9PPY will be active as VQ5X during the CQWW DX SSB Contest (October 27-28th) as a Multi-Single entry. QSL via W4OX or LoTW.
The team will be on the island between October 20-30th. Outside of the contest, they will use VP5/homecall and be active on all bands 160-10 meters using CW, SSB and RTTY. There is a possibility they may be on 6 meters as well, but this will depend on how long it takes to finish doing some tower maintenance which will determine if they will have enough time to put together the 6m antenna and haul it up one of the towers.

 

YJ - Vanuatu (Reminder) - 15.10.12.

Daniel, VK4AFU, will be active as YJ0AFU, from Port Vila between November 3-10th. Activity will be on 80-6 meters using mainly the JT65A mode. They may be "a little" 160 meters. Daniel states that 6 meters will be priority when open and should be mostly on CW, SSB and JT65 on request. He will be using a FT857 w/100w into a 2 element Πwave vertical phased 40m, OCF Dipole 80-10M and a 2 element F8DR beam for 50 MHz. QSL via NA5U.
