I'll be heading east ON jUNEwith the trailer to put DN75, DN76, DN77, DN78, DN68,
DN58 on 6 meters - CW, SSB, FSK441 with up to 700 watts. There is
extensive flooding along the way, so we'll see what's possible. I have the
details up at www.geneshea.com
A second trip will hit DN46, DN47, DN48 and others.

KB7ME wrote: "Hello to all, I will be activating Grid CN71 for this years June VHF contest, 50 and 144 bands only. This will be the third year in a row for me in CN71. Will operate again from CN71xw. Lets hope for 6m E's.
Last two years have been poor in CN71. The good news is I plan to be  QRV from Sat June 11 thru the morning of Friday June 17 assuming we don't get chased out by rain or run out of gas for the generator's. Will do 50 Mhz SSB/CW and WSJT MS with a Icom Pro3, kw amp and 6m5x  yagi. On 144 Mhz, same modes, with my old Yaesu Ft-736r, 400 watt amp and a newly built 14 ele LFA design yagi.  Internet/cell phone coverage is flaky at best. The better of two sites has fair cell coverage,(If I have cell service will have internet)(For outside contest use), however my preferred location was not accessable last year. Will run WSJT MS each morning/evening using the calling freq/50.260 and listening up typically 5 or 10, always first sequence I will be sending my grid for TX2 at all times. Outside the contest you send sh R26. If we are blessed with E's will announce myself SSB, on 50.125 and listen for callers on 50.180 typically. On CW you will find me around 50.095 +- qrm. On 144 Mhz WSJT MS I will CQ on the calling freq/144.140. possibly listening up or down. SSB/CW 144.200 +- qrm.I will have gear for 222/432/1296 with me but not qrv. If you want to try these bands, I am open to a schedule outside the contest
Note: I will always sign KB7ME, not /p or /6. I will upload all q's to LoTW and qsl 100% for cards received. Hope to work you from this rare one.

K - U.S.A. - 6.9.11

Curby (KE7LHT) and Lloyd (K7NX) will be QRV from DN00 for the VHF QSO party next weekend. We'll probably run 6 meters only. Following the QSO party, I will remain in DN00 and plan to operate daily on 6 meter SSB and CW (will monitor 50.125), plus I'll be on 6 and 2 meter FSK441 early each morning - 6 meters on even numbered dates, and 2 meters on odd numbered dates. Look for me on 50.260 or 144.140. For FSK441, I will always transmit first, and will include my listening frequency in the CQ - I will switch my transmit freq to my listening frequency when I hear you. Then I'll go back to CQ on the calling frequency after the qso completes. We'll have internet/ping jockey running the week of June 13, but I'll likely head out portable later in that week and lose internet access. Operating equipment is an Elecraft K3 with a 5 element beam on 6 meters (and hopefully a 400 watt amp if I can get it running), and an IC-706 with a Mirage 160 watt amp on 2 meters with an 11 element beam. Everything is generator powered. Curby also has a brand new FT-897 so I'll get him fired up to permanently
activate DN00. It's possible that I will make a multiple day trip over to DN10 also, probably around June 22 or 23. I'll have someone post that activity if it happens. I will cease operation on June 27 and head out of those grids. I hope to work all of you! QSL to CBA.

K - U.S.A. - 6.9.11

Dave K9DRO, Justin K9MU, John W9JN, Art N9BCA, Brian WB9E, and his son Jacob KC9TVG will activate EN38 from 11th June through 15th June 2011. The operation will commence with the 2011 ARRL June VHF QSO Party and continue a few days after. Exact duration will depend on weather and band conditions. They will employ a Field Day type operation using generators and operating out of a small cabin and sometimes vehicles. A homebrew 6-element yagi (20 ft boom) on 6m and a 2M5WL 17-element yagi w/ elevation on 2m will be utilized on 20-foot temporary masts. We will be running an amplifier on 6m which should provide around 700w of power. We will have a station on 6m and 2m continuously. Each station will have bandpass filters, laptop computers w/ WSJT, voice keyers, and logging software.
The team will initially setup base camp in EN38cf for the duration of the contest. This will be northeast of Big Falls, MN in the Pine Island State Forest in Marty's, N0NKC, cabin. They will either setup a satellite station (K9MU/0) in EN48 during the day for 6m Es openings or completely move base camp to EN48 after they feel EN38 has been given its deserved attention. This will also depend on available radio locations. The EN27/EN37/EN28/EN38 grid corner is not far from basecamp so also look for K9MU/0 in those grids during the day.
Tentative frequencies on 6m are 50.147 SSB/CW and 50.267 FSK441. On 2m, 144..207 SSB/CW and 144.147 FSK441. We will be sending on the 1st period (0-30 seconds) during FSK441 runs. Please spot them when heard. QSL direct only to W9JN and/or LoTW.

ST0 - South Sudan – 6.7.11

The Intrepid-DX Group and the DX Friends/Tifariti Gang continues to move forward with our plans to activate the new country of Southern Sudan with a large multi-national DXpedition.
We have held several successful meetings with representatives of the Government of Southern Sudan. We have been issued an amateur radio license for the purpose of this DXpedition. The Government of South Sudan is very supportive of our plans to visit Juba and to help them celebrate the birth of their new country.
The Government of South Sudan will declare their independence from Sudan on July 9th, 2011. They have applied to the UN for admission as a member state. The UN General Assembly and Security Council will vote on the matter in the weeks following the declaration of independence.
While there have been attacks and fighting in the disputed border region of Abyei, these issues are not expected to derail the emergence of this new country.
We plan to be in the new capital of Juba and to be ready to start our DXpedition upon admission by the UN. We will have 18 operators operating 24/7 on seven active stations.
At this time, we are seeking Foundation, Club and Individual Sponsors to help us defray the costs of carrying out this DXpedition.
